2Sa 7:12-13<\/strong> \u201cWhen your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.  (13)  “He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romans 1:3-4 <\/em><\/strong>Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born (made-or caused to be) of the seed of David according to the flesh,  (4)  and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Psalm 89:3-4<\/strong> \u201c<\/em><\/strong>I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David: (4) \u2018Your seed I will establish forever, And build up your throne to all generations.’ ” Selah<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mat 3:1-2<\/strong> In<\/em><\/strong> those days JOHN THE BAPTIST <\/strong>came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”<\/strong><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke 8:1 SOON AFTERWARD, [Jesus] went on through towns and villages, preaching and bringing the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God. And the Twelve [apostles] were with Him,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke 4:43<\/strong> But He said to them, I must preach the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God to the other cities [and towns] also, for I was sent for this [purpose].<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mat 4:23<\/strong> <\/em><\/strong>And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT COULD THIS MEAN TO THE PEOPLE OF THAT GENERATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mathew 1:1<\/strong> The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of DAVID,<\/strong> the Son of Abraham.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mathew 22:42<\/strong> Saying<\/em><\/strong>, “What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?” They said to Him, “THE SON OF DAVID <\/strong>“<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mathew 21:9<\/strong> Then<\/em><\/strong> the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of DAVID!<\/strong> ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’ Hosanna in the highest!”<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

DOMINION, GOVERNMENT AND RULERSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you were to ask several average professed\u00a0 Christians what the\u00a0 Kingdom of\u00a0 God\u00a0 is,\u00a0 you would receive\u00a0 a\u00a0 variety\u00a0 of\u00a0 answers.\u00a0 There are a great many\u00a0\u00a0 ideas, opinions, interpretations, conceptions\u00a0\u00a0 and\u00a0\u00a0 mix-conceptions\u00a0\u00a0 among\u00a0\u00a0 believers\u00a0\u00a0 as\u00a0\u00a0 to\u00a0\u00a0 what constitutes\u00a0 the\u00a0 Kingdom\u00a0 of\u00a0 God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vast multitudes of people believe that at any minute Jesus will appear in\u00a0 the sky\u00a0 and\u00a0 whisk away\u00a0 (rapture)\u00a0 those\u00a0 who\u00a0 are saved and\u00a0 take them to heaven to enjoy the Kingdom of God. They teach that the Kingdom of God is heaven and that it has no relationship with the earth. Others teach that the Kingdom of God is purely earthly, and that it will be political and social structure enforced on earth for a thousand years at the return of Jesus Christ with His saints to rule\u00a0 and\u00a0 reign. This conjecture was popularized by Scofield the Theologian in his commentary bible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still  another teaching  is  that  the  Church  (organized  Christianity)  is  the  Kingdom  of God.  The covenantal promises  God  made  with  Abraham  and  David  have  been transferred  to  and  fulfilled  spiritually  in  the  Church.  The Church  is  thus  the  New Israel  in the earth. Some  among  us  even  today  believe  that  the  Kingdom  will  come  as  a result  of  Christians  becoming  politically  active,  taking  over  the  existing  political institutions,  getting  elected  to  office,  and  ruling  the  earth  through  the  power  of politics.  This is exactly what  happened  when the  Roman  Emperor  Constantine  began mixing  Christianity  with  carnal  government  which  gave  rise  to  the  Papacy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke1:32 <\/strong>\u201cHe will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest, and the <\/em>LORD GOD WILL GIVE HIM THE THRONE OF HIS FATHER DAVID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bible speaks\u00a0 of\u00a0 a\u00a0 number\u00a0 of\u00a0 kingdoms.\u00a0 The first world empire the\u00a0 Chaldean Empire\u00a0 <\/strong>often\u00a0 called\u00a0 “BABYLON” <\/strong>was\u00a0 a\u00a0 kingdom.\u00a0 God inspired the\u00a0 prophet\u00a0 Daniel\u00a0 to say\u00a0 to\u00a0 its\u00a0 king,\u00a0 NEBUCHADNEZZAR<\/strong>,\u00a0 “…the\u00a0 God\u00a0 of\u00a0 heaven\u00a0 hath\u00a0 given\u00a0 thee\u00a0 a\u00a0 kingdom, power,\u00a0 and\u00a0 strength,\u00a0 and\u00a0 glory”\u00a0 (Dan.\u00a0 2:37). Then there\u00a0 was\u00a0 the\u00a0 kingdom\u00a0 of\u00a0 Israel <\/strong>the\u00a0\u00a0 family\u00a0\u00a0 descended\u00a0\u00a0 from\u00a0\u00a0 Israel,\u00a0\u00a0 which\u00a0\u00a0 became\u00a0\u00a0 one\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 earth’s\u00a0\u00a0 nations\u00a0\u00a0 or government . The kingdom\u00a0 of\u00a0 Israel\u00a0 under\u00a0 David\/Solomon\u00a0 was\u00a0 a type of the\u00a0 Kingdom of God.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was the background upon which John the Baptist and then Jesus came to proclaim the arrival of the KINGDOM OF GOD ON EARTH, it was indeed the declaration of the presence of the GOVERNMENT, DOMINION, AND THE RULE OF GOD \u00a0among men and it was to begin in the heart first and from within us revolutionized the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is first of all \u2013 internal (Luke 17: 21)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requires recognition of His rule and demands the establishment of His principles as law in our life Ps. 119: 1 \u2013 4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
